With the donation of three private companies, ‘Alma M’, ‘Tempo 99’ and ‘Eftinija Impeks’, the operational department of the Gynecology and Obstetrics Clinic in Cair has been renovated, reports “TVM2”.

The renovation of the department with about 420 square meters comes after almost forty years of work and has cost about 6 million 300 thousand denars.

This ward includes two operating rooms, ward for anesthesia and intensive care as well as other auxiliary spaces needed at work. The director of the hospital, Bashkim Ismaili, said that this investment will provide better conditions for both patients and staff.

Gynecological surgeries are performed in this area. In this space we have opened a new ward which is the endoscopy ward. Practically the capacity for births has already been released. So far we have done it there, the capacity is free and now endoscopy has room to develop, while the trend in gynecology is to go to endoscopy. It has been achieved that we now have a special room for such a thing, a special room for births’ – said the Director of the Hospital for Gynecology and Obstetrics, Bashkim Ismaili.

‘We as a company have social funds and until last year we donated them to schooling. Education is very important, but talking to the Director of the hospital we saw that there is a great need here and it was the idea to help this project. The motive for the help came from the fact that building schools will help the future of the population, but saving a life is even more important and it pushed us to finance this project ‘- said the director of’ Alma-M ‘, Muharem Murtezani .

Ismaili said the hospital lacks anesthesiologists, a shortage which is expected to be filled soon. On this occasion it was informed that in the last three years there is an increase in the number of newborn babies. This year Chair Gynecology will conclude with about 4100 births was said on this occasion.
